Nova Scotia Coach Headed to 2019 Masters Indoor World Cup in Hong Kong

Sharon Rajaraman, Halifax, N.S., will be heading to Hong Kong to coach the Canadian Masters Men’s and Women’s teams. Field Hockey Canada will be sending two men’s teams and one women’s team to the 2019 Masters Indoor World Cup. The competition is set for February 14-17. This is the first time the tournament will be held under the joint banner of the IMHA & WMH. Atlantic University Field Hockey Championships

The Atlantic University Field Hockey League’s championships tournament was hosted October 27 and 28 in Charlottetown, PE by the University of Prince Edward Island. In the championship final UPEI defeated Dalhousie 2-0 to claim the AUFH Title while St. FX defeated SMU 2-0 in the bronze medal game. The Atlantic University Field Hockey League’s first tournament of the season was hosted September 22 and 23 in Oromocto, NB by University of New Brunswick. Field Hockey Sessions in Annapolis Valley

Field Hockey Nova Scotia held introduction sessions in the valley in July through August at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Aylesford and Coldbrook and District School in Coldbrook and Meadowview Community centre in Kentville. Most of our sessions ran for 90 minutes or longer with groups of kids were aged from 8 to 12 years and were mostly very keen to learn. The Annual Atlantic Cup Field Hockey Tournament was held this weekend at Dalhousie University Turf in Halifax. The round robin tournament consisted of 6 teams with a final between the top two teams after pool play. The final saw the Halifax Andrews Team defeat the Halifax Privateers 1-0.
