Nancy Tokaryk High School Field Hockey Scholarship Award Winner 2020
Arielle Mountain from JL Ilsley High School is this year’s recipient of the Metro High School Nancy Tokaryk Scholarship for Field Hockey 2020. This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete who excels in academics, athletics, leadership, and volunteer service who will be continuing on to play field hockey at the University level.
Arielle is an exceptional student athlete with a high academic standing. In field hockey, Arielle excelled as an athlete receiving Metro High School Allstar honours for all her eligible years during High School. Arielle also plays in the Field Hockey Nova Scotia Indoor and Outdoor leagues as well as being a member of the Nova Scotia Women’s Provincial Team for the last two years. Arielle shows great leadership ability being Captain for her High School field hockey Team. Arielle is a talented multi sport athlete. Despite her busy schedule, Arielle still finds time to volunteer. Arielle has volunteered over the past few years in a Hockey Development Skills Program in her community. She was also recently selected to travel to Belize to participate in a program that builds homes for under privileged families. However, this trip was unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID Pandemic.
Arielle Mountain is a standout multi sport student athlete from Nova Scotia and is a deserving recipient of this year’s Nancy Tokaryk High School Field Hockey Scholarship. Arielle plans to attend Acadia University in the fall.
